About Us

Welcome to Texas Robot Combat. Formerly Dallas Area Robot Combat (DARC). We are a growing club with a diverse community of members bringing robot combat to Texas. Established in 2014.  Current members saw the need for another organization following in the footsteps of Southwest Alliance of Robot Combat (SWARC). The Texas Robot Combat arena was built over a three month period starting in December 2016 and completed in February 2017. The first club event “Robot Rebellion 1.1” was held in April 2017 with successful growing events held quarterly thereafter.
Texas Robot Combat is run by a volunteer staff of club officers and members that seek to advance robot combat by hosting regular events and through the promotion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Members come from all walks of life and educational backgrounds to help make this a viable and sustainable venture. Come join us at monthly club meetings or quarterly events and help promote this super cool hobby/sport in a time where technology has finally crossed our everyday paths.
Our club is open to the beginner or beginning family as well as the veteran competitors. Get advice or learn how to build robots from members with experience in all field’s fabrication, programming and engineering. Compete in our continually evolving state of the art robot combat arena that hosts up 3 pound combat robots.
